Located between chamber music and orchestra, the Carinthian-based ensemble minui, consisting of five strings and four wind instruments, has been dedicated with elegance and sophistication to the musical possibilities for large chamber music ensembles since its founding in 2016. While initially the program included simple reductions of large orchestral works, opera music gradually became the ensemble minui’s great passion. The starting point for this is the sophisticated arrangements by clarinetist Stefan Potzmann. As a regular guest at the Liszt Festival Raiding and the Mallnitz Music Summer, the ensemble minui performed, among others. also at the Millstatt Music Weeks, in the Radiokulturhaus Vienna and in the Klagenfurt City Theater. Concert tours took the nine musicians to Germany, Slovenia and Spain. Her first two CDs with opera suites were nominated in several categories for both the German Opus Klassik and the German Record Critics’ Prize.

Homogeneous and balanced, the nine versatile orchestra musicians offer previously unheard and sound-differentiated perspectives on large-scale opera works, reduced to what is essential for them:
